FR4 (EPGC 201)

Epoxy Glass Laminate — Flame Retardant

Standards: NEMA FR4, IEC 60893-3-2 EPGC 201, DIN 7735 Hgw 2372

RoHS REACH

Overview

FR4 (EPGC 201 per IEC 60893) is a flame-retardant epoxy glass laminate — the most widely used electrical insulation material worldwide. Woven glass fabric impregnated with epoxy resin, achieving UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy.

Used in: printed circuit boards (PCBs), electrical insulation panels, switchgear components and structural parts requiring both mechanical strength and electrical insulation.

Also known as: NEMA FR4, IEC 60893 EPGC 201, DIN 7735 Hgw 2372, ISOVAL® FR4 (Isovolta), VOLTADUR® FR4 (Isovolta).

For non-flame-retardant version with identical mechanical properties, see G10 (EPGC 202). For higher temperature applications (up to 180°C), see G11 (EPGC 308).
