Carbon Fibre Reinforced Epoxy (CFRP)
Brand: DragonPlate — DragonPlate, Torayca® — Toray, Tenax® — Teijin Carbon, Sigrafil® — SGL Carbon
Standards: ISO 14125, ASTM D3039
CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer) sheets offer the highest specific stiffness and strength of any engineering material — tensile strength up to 1200 MPa at density of only 1.55 g/cm³. Used in aerospace, motorsport, robotics and high-performance structural applications where weight reduction is critical. Waterjet cutting is preferred to avoid delamination. Note: carbon fibre dust is an irritant — use appropriate PPE during machining.
