Overview

POM-C EL (Electrically Conductive) has a surface resistivity of ≤10⁴ Ω — it actively dissipates electrical charge to earth. Required for ATEX explosion protection zones (Zone 1 and 2), earthing strips, flanges and components in contact with flammable powders or gases. The conductivity is generated by a specially adjusted additive that does not migrate to the surface, ensuring stable and consistent conductivity throughout the product lifetime.

Key distinction from POM-C ESD (Antistatic):
• POM-C EL: ≤10⁴ Ω → ATEX, explosion protection, earthing
• POM-C ESD: 10⁶–10⁹ Ω → Electronics, cleanroom, semiconductor
