Polyoxymethylene Copolymer (Antistatic)
Brand: ESD-MSA Black — Ms Viscom, Sustarin® C ESD 90 — Röchling, Semitron® ESD 225 — MCAM
Standards: ISO 9988, ASTM D4181
POM-C ESD (Antistatic) has a surface resistivity of 10⁶–10⁹ Ω — it prevents electrostatic charge build-up without actively conducting electricity. This makes it safe for use around sensitive electronic components where a fully conductive material could cause short circuits. Used in semiconductor handling, PCB assembly fixtures, cleanroom equipment and electronic packaging. Do not confuse with POM-C EL (Conductive) which has ≤10⁴ Ω and is used for ATEX/explosion protection applications.
